Programme Educational Objectives
Undergraduate
  1. To impart a programme oriented knowledge in mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals required to solve electrical engineering problems.
  2. To prepare graduates who will be employable in the diversified sections of industry, government organizations, public sector and multinational corporations and/or pursue higher education in electrical engineering or other fields of their interests.
  3. To make the students able to adopt lifelong learning, act with integrity and have inter-personal skills needed to engage in, lead and nurture diverse teams with commitment to their ethical and social responsibilities.
  4. To equip graduates with ethical values, so that they become responsible engineers.
Postgraduate

The educational objectives of the postgraduate programme of Electrical Engineering at PEC have been broadly defined on five counts:

  1. To produce students to excel in Ph.D. /Research programmes or to succeed in industry / technical profession through global, rigorous education.
  2. To impart a programme oriented knowledge in mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals required to solve engineering problems and also to pursue higher studies.
  3. To prepare students with engineering attitude so as to comprehend, analyze, design, and create novel products and solutions for the real life problems, through broad and in depth learning.
  4. To emphasize upon students professional and ethical attitude, effective communication skills, teamwork skills, multidisciplinary approach, and an ability to relate engineering issues to broader social context.
  5. To provide student with an academic environment aware of excellence, leadership, and the life-long learning needed for a successful professional career.
