The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of PEC University of Technology, Chandigarh organized an expert lecture on “Crystal Growth” on 18th August 2017 in the department seminar room which was attended by PG, Ph.D. students and Faculty members from ECE department. The lecture was delivered by Dr. S. Narayana Kalkura, Professor & Director, Crystal Growth Centre, Anna University, Chennai. Prof. Neelu Jain, Head, Electronics and Communication Engineering Department welcomed the speaker and introduced to the audience.
Dr. S. Narayana Kalkura discussed about the major developments in the Crystal Growth from last 25 Years. He emphasized on development of III-IV materials, Biomaterials, crystallization of biomolecules and characterization. Thereafter, he elaborated about the different nano facility present in the Crystal Growth Centre, Anna University such as CVD, XRD, SEM, AFM etc.
The lecture was highly enlightening particularly for the younger researchers to understand the technological innovations in nanotechnology.
