TECHNIQUE’10 – THE TECHNO-MANAGERIAL FEST

The 5th and 6th of March 2010, posed to be an epoch for the students and faculty of PEC University of Technology as they gave life to TECHNIQUE’10 – The techno-managerial annual fest of the college. Inviting major colleges from North India, TECHNIQUE commenced with inauguration ceremony that was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. Satish Kumar, Head of TBRL and an alumnus of PEC.

The following 2 days of TECHNIQUE showcased technical excellence in the form of events such as Quiz-o-mania, LCD programming, E-Plan, Primavera workshop and also lived up to its motto of “Where mind exceeds might”.

A major highlight of this techfest were the motivational lectures by icons such as Dr. Jimmy Kansal, a senior scientist of the Snow and Avalanche Study Establishment, Dr. V.S. Sethi, former head of TBRL and Mr. Hitesh, a pioneer in the world of 3-D photography.

Exhibitions by one of the leading research centres like DRDO and PEDA showcased the broad variety of research being done in India while other events which enticed the imagination of many techno maniacs were Junkyard Wars, Dirt Race, Bridge the Gap etc.  The festival also served to be a paradise for the robo-freaks with design competitions like Maze hunt – event of the autonomous robots. Apart from these some of the other highlights of the day were Mock Placements, Quiz-o-Mania, Flight Exhibition and Nakshatra –a star gazing event.

In the discipline of business, events such as IPL auction, M-Plan, Bing Zing brought forth the upcoming entrepreneurs of this country. To test the grey cells of the students was ‘AUKAAT’, a techno-quiz held within the college auditorium.
PEC University of technology was seen rising to newer challenges posed in this edition of TECHNIQUE and created an extravaganza which not only established its name amongst the student community but has also come to be synonymous with innovation, passion and determination.
