A two-day lecture series conducted by Dept of Information Technology concluded on 14th Oct, 2011. The lectures were delivered by Subject Matter Experts from Infosys Technologies limited, IT Park, Chandigarh. The motive of lectures was to fill the gap between industry and academia. On the first day Ms Manisha, Principal - Education & Research (E&R), delivered lecture on Agile Methodology in Software Engineering. She touched upon the practical aspects of software engineering. On the second day, Mr Neeraj Thaman - Senior Technical Architect, SI-BI Unit, delivered lecture on Business Intelligence, Analytics And Performance Management. Topics covered were need of business intelligence in decision making followed by indepth knowledge of BAP framework. Dr. Balwinder Singh, HOD IT Dept, welcomed the speakers. He also commented that “the event turned out to be great learning experience for students.” The event was coordinated by Prof Richa Jindal, IT Department.
