SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY QUIZ (May 1, 2010)

Cognizant, a Science and Technology Quiz was organized by the department of Applied Sciences of PEC University of Technology for the students of city schools on May 01, 2010 as a part of the Open House 2010. A total of 55 teams participated in the quiz. All the teams were given a written test and their scores ranged between 11 and 41 out of a maximum of 50. On the basis of this written test, the top five teams were selected for the oral quiz. The oral quiz consisted of four rounds, viz., question answer round, visual round, rapid fire round and an audience round. Approximately 100 questions were asked during the oral quiz. The top three teams which bagged cash prizes of Rs.3000, Rs.2400 and Rs.1800 respectively were Dehli Public School, Sector 40; Govt. Senior Secondary School, Sector 19 and Govt. Senior Secondary School, Sector 33 in that order. Several students won prizes in the audience round as well.
